My Wish List For You In 2019!

It’s almost 2019 and in just a few days we’re going to round the corner to a new year and a new start. A year filled with possibility for all of us!

I’m not a big New Year’s Resolution kind of person, but at this time of year it’s worth doing some reflecting and celebrating the year we’re finishing up and looking ahead to projects and commitments for the new year.

And because I’m always thinking about all of you, I’ve made a wish list of all the things I want more of for YOU in 2019!

More Curiosity:

Curiosity invites exploration. In your life, your dreams and in what you want to create next.

More Breathing Space:

In your schedule and day-to-day routine. Stillness and quiet to listen to the cues that are so easily ignored because we’re just so busy from getting from one day to the next and getting all the things done. Make time to pay attention to them. Those cues are telling you something important!

More Adventure:

Not the bungee jumping kind of adventure (although that could be exciting too!) I’m talking about cultivating an adventurous spirit. Give yourself permission to be bold and try new things. Accept that with that, there will be some failure to weather. It’s a good thing, part of the journey and gives us the clues we need to figure out where we want to go.

More Possibility:

Believing in possibility gives us the motivation to start the journey. It’s from that place of possibility that we can determine what our next steps will be. Every journey is just one step after another.

More Action:

Stop letting life happen to you. Take deliberate action and MAKE it happen! You’ve got dreams for 2019 and this is your nudge to get started!

More Support:

This is a big one! Ask for help. You’re not alone. There’s always someone who has walked this way ahead of you and has wisdom and tools to share – be willing to ask! The tools may or may not work for your life and your circumstances – but collaboration can always give you helpful perspective and give you a place to start.

I have so many more wishes for you, for all of us, but let’s start with these. As 2018 draws to a close, I want you to know your actions and your life mean something. Are you ready to make 2019 your best year yet? Dare to dream it! And then just start!

xx Jean

P.S. One of the hardest parts about starting anything can be figuring out where or what that starting place is. It can be especially challenging when you’re experiencing a major transition, like the beginning of your empty nest chapter. Without kids at home everything feels different and you’re ready to explore ways to expand your life. Here’s a free tool that can help you with that! Your Empty Nest Project worksheet is designed to ask questions that will get you started thinking about how you want your life to look for the next 20 years.
