There is so much going on in our world right now and for me it feels like a lot to hold. Maybe you’re feeling that way too? I waver between wanting to watch the news because how can I not, and then being so distraught about everything I see that I just want to turn it off because I need to breathe, for just a moment, and believe that it’s all going to be okay. This Christmas is definitely feeling a little different.
It’s the time of year, for many of us, that is filled with friends, family, traditions and festivities. For some of you it might be the first time you’re welcoming home kids since shipping them off to college. Or maybe it’s the first time in a long time that you’ve been able to be with someone who is meaningful in your life.
My wish for you is simply that you celebrate your time together and recognize how fortunate we all are to be able to do that. Being together, without a doubt, is the best gift of all. Our Christmas will be a quiet one. Our daughter and husband are spending the Christmas week in Europe. We’re excited for them to have this time together to build their own memories, and looking forward to being with them early in 2017.
Merry Christmas to all of you – from my heart to yours!
